One of the many wellness services Dr. Christy offers in an ionic foot bath. An ionic foot bath is used to rid the body of toxins ranging from heavy metals, mold, fungus, pesticides, preservatives, and other chemicals. While the body does posses organs that help detox our system of toxins, there can still be left over toxins that one naturally can not process.

 

The process is relativity simple, starting with a warm tub of water and a sprinkle of Epsom salt to increase conductivity.  Next an array is placed in the tub that creates a gentle electrical current. This then causes the water to activate positively charged hydrogen ions and oxygen gas, or negatively charged hydroxide ions and hydrogen gas, depending on Dr. Christy's discretion. Often times one will report a slight tingling in their feet due to the fact that 60% of the body is water and water is conductive.

 

The water will change color due to the chemical reaction of the water chemicals, skin oils, dead skin cells, sweat, and other organic compounds. Once the water has turned colors, the red blood cells can that carry materials in the body increase in number because of the added electrons. The ionic foot bath reenergizes the cells and in turn, reenergizes the body and continues to clean the body for 36 hours after the footbath.
